While our schools and teachers are working hard to provide lessons and resources, we may still feel overwhelmed by the prospect of our children learning at home. We reached out to Jennifer Frost, head of the Haven Schole homeschooling group in West Haven and founder of the college counseling company College Fit, for her advice.

Debbie Allen Dance Classes – Live dance classes on Instagram Live. “There’s a party going on in your living room, in your bathroom, wherever you are..!” Try the first class, then watch for live sessions Wednesday and Saturdays.

HASFit (Heart & Soul Fitness)– An extensive collection of workout videos. Search and select by length, fitness level, workout type, muscle group, and equipment.

Headspace– a subscription resource, is offering a free guided meditation collection (Weathering the Storm) through its app. Some short meditations can be played on its website.

Google Arts and Culture– explore high definition art, explore culture in 360 degrees, tour famous sites and landmarks, and much more.

Home Depot DIY Digital Workshops– Over 2,000 online tutorials on home improvement projects.

How to Play App– An app that offers the complete rules to over 75 card games.

The Metropolitan Opera– The Metropolitan Opera in New York City is offering free nightly streams of operas while the opera house is shut down due to COVID-19.

Planet Fitness– is sharing daily ‘Work Ins’ on Facebook, and through its app.
